Meetings Between Representatives of EU Delegation to BiH with SDP and HDZ

Representatives of the Social Democratic Party of BiH (SDP BiH) had a meeting today with representatives of the EU Delegation to BiH on finding solutions to the implementation of the ruling of the European Court for Human Rights in the “Sejdić-Finci” case.

‘’Since changes to the Constitution require a two-thirds vote in both houses of Parliament of BiH, it is clear that this is not exclusively a question for the position or the opposition, but rather for all parties that have representatives in the BiH Parliament and who wish to see BiH in the European Union. Due to this, it is very important to look for solutions on which we agree, and to leave differences aside for the good of BiH’’, said a member of the SDP Presidency of BiH and the head of the club of representatives in the BiH Parliament Saša Magazinović for FENA after the meeting with the Delegation of EU representatives.

He said that SDP BiH would continue to play a role in finding a solution.

Saša Magazinović and Jasenko Selimović, the head of the club delegates in the Federal Parliament attended the meetings on behalf of SDP.

The Deputy Head of the EU Delegation, Renzo Daviddi spoke on behalf of the EU Delegation.

On the possible solutions for the implementation of the decision of the European Court for Human Rights in the “Sejdić i Finci” case, representatives of the EU Delegation to BiH spoke yesterday with the Delegation of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) of BiH.

The HDZ Delegation consisted of senior party officials Borjana Krišto, Niko Lozančić and Bariša Čolak.

After the meeting between the EU Delegation and SDP representatives at EU headquarters, representatives of HDZ 1990 and the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD) are expected to arrive. The representatives of the Serbian Democratic Party (SDS), the Party for Democratic Action (SDA) and the Alliance for a Better Future (SBB) have already announced talks with the EU Delegation to BiH, reported by ‘’Sarajevotimes’’.
