Member of BiH Presidency Željko Komšić is one of the winners of the recognition from the International Institute for Middle East and Balkan Studies (IFIMES)
According to the organization, at the ceremony that will be held next week in Bled, Slovenia, Komšić will be awarded a special recognition for the contribution of peace and stability in the Western Balkans.
In addition to Komšić, the German Minister of Foreign Affairs Guido Westerwelle will receive the award “Global Positive Figure From Area of Foreign Policy 2012”, General Secretary of the Arab League Nabil El-Araby will receive the “Global Personality 2012”, and Hannes Swobod, member of the European Parliament, President of the Advanced Alliance of Socialists and Democrats in the European Parliament will receive the “Most Recognizable European Politicians in the Western Balkans”.
Ambassador Jean-Paul Carteron, the founder and president of Crans Montan Forum, will receive the life recognition award.
Regonition will be given by the honorary president of the Institute Stjepan Mesić, President of the Advisory Board Budimir Lončar, Vice-President of the Advisory Committee Zoran Živković, member of the Advisory Committee Jadranka Kosor and the Director of the Institute Bakhatyar Aljaf.
The event will be attended by a number of politicians, business people and figures from the public life of Slovenia and countries in the Western Balkans and in the Middle East.
