Members of all religions gathered on Friday in the center of Tuzla to celebrate Eid al-Fitr. They marked the biggest Muslim holiday with a rich cultural program and baklava tasting.

Many citizens of Tuzla gathered on Friday at the Square of Freedom for the public celebration of Eid al-Fitr, and on this occasion, they were able to enjoy a rich program. In addition to the indispensable baklava, other sweets, and drinks, members of all religions were looking forward to the biggest Muslim holiday.

“Today we once again showed our common life because we saw the diversity of all the nations that came together to celebrate one of the biggest Muslim holidays. This is a great act and a great gathering of the citizens of Tuzla. To all members of the Islamic religion, I congratulate Eid from the bottom of my heart”, said the mayor of Tuzla, Zijad Lugavic, on Friday.

The Eid program at the Square of Freedom was enriched by the performances of the choir and orchestra of the Behram-bey’s Madrasah in Tuzla, members of the Cultural and Artistic Society of “Bosnia”, the “Uco” Women’s Choir and the choir of the imams of the Majlis Islamic Community of Tuzla “Gazi-Turali Bey”.

“It was not difficult for us to organize this at all, on the contrary, we have previously celebrated all significant dates and holidays for all our citizens. We are glad that a large number of citizens joined us, for whom we have prepared a really rich program.” said the director of the Tuzla Tourist Board, Amra Jaganjac.

The Eid al-Fitr celebration was organized as part of the Spring event in Tuzla, and it is worth saying that the local tourist board celebrated all previous religious holidays in the same way, Klix.ba reports.
