In the area of ​​Orasje, members of the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina discovered a certain amount of weapons and arrested a BiH citizen whose initials were C.M.

The action was carried out under the supervision of the acting prosecutor, and according to the orders of the Court of BiH, due to suspicion of committing the criminal offense of unauthorized trafficking in weapons, military equipment and dual-use items, Srna news agency reports.

“It is suspected that members of the organized group in the past participated in finding weapons in BiH with the aim of further smuggling from BiH to France, where a dozen automatic and semi-automatic rifles and other parts for weapons were discovered and found in the area of ​​Orasje,” it said. from the BiH Border Police.

The arrested person was handed over to the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, along with a report on the committed crime.

The Director of the BiH Border Police, Zoran Galic, pointed out that the members of the BiH Border Police persistently and successfully fight against all forms of crime, and that they continuously carry out activities to prevent cross-border crime.

He thanked the members of the Border Police for the action, which was carried out in cooperation with the Intelligence and Security Agency of BiH, the Ministries of Interior of Republika Srpska and Posavina County and partner agencies from France, whom he thanked for cooperation, as well as the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH under whose supervision implemented activities.

The statement adds that the activities on the mentioned case are continuing, under the supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH.
