Members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) Denis Becirovic and Zeljko Komsic met in London with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Kingdom (UK) David Lammy.
It was announced from Becirovic’s office that the meeting discussed the current security situation in BiH, with a special focus on the attack on the constitutional order of BiH and the threats to the Dayton Peace Agreement by the leadership of the BiH entity Republika Srpska (RS), as well as the joint search for solutions to oppose this destructive anti-Dayton activity.
“Becirovic informed Minister Lammy about the attempts to undermine the institutions of the state of BiH, which seriously endanger peace, stability, and security both in BiH and in the entire region of the Western Balkans. He emphasized that it is of exceptional importance that international partners and allies, among whom the UK plays a key role, continue to provide strong support for preserving the independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and constitutional order of BiH,” the statement said.
Minister Lammy in the conversation reiterated the firm and unquestionable support of the UK for preserving the independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of BiH. He emphasized that he is following the situation in BiH and the Western Balkans region with particular attention.
He said that the UK remains with the citizens of BiH and the institutions of the state, and expressed determination to support those measures that lead to the preservation of peace, stability, and prosperity, for the benefit of all its citizens and peoples.
