Members of Mountain Rescue Service saved 60-year-old Mountaineer

Members of the Mountain Rescue Service from Mostar, Konjic, Jablanica, Citluk, Siroki Brijeg and Grude, last night at around 10.30 pm on Mount Prenj carried out an action to rescue a 60-year-old mountaineer V. A. from Vrgorac.

The mountaineer was injured at the Jezerce site on the Prenj mountain, and 46 mountain rescuers took part in the rescue operation.

The action was led by Zenadin Mesukic from GSS Konjic.

“The first information said that he was seriously injured and out of direct danger to life. The injured mountaineer was given medical assistance immediately, with the help of mountain rescuers, was escorted to the nearest road and further to the Mostar hospital in a GSS vehicle,” the GSS said in a press statment.
