Memories: In 2009 Golden Boys won the sixth consecutive European Champions Title

sitting volleyballOn this day, on 16th September 2009, the National Team of B&H in sitting volleyball won the sixth consecutive title of the European champion.

In the final match of the European match in Elblag, on 26th September, volleyball players of B&H defeated the Russian team with 3:1 (20:25, 25:21, 25:18).

Elects of the coach Mirza Hrustemovic, completed the group phase of the competition with four wins. They defeated teams of Netherlands, Serbia, Poland and Russia with the maximal score 3:0, and in the semi-finals were better than Germans, also without losing a set, 3:2.

Gold medals for B&H at the European Championship won: Sabahudin Delalic (captain), Adnan Manko, Asim Medic, Ismet Godinjak, Safet Alibašic, Mirzet Duran, Dzevad Hamzic, Ermin Jusufovic, Beniz Kadric, Ejub Mehmedovic, Esad Durmisevic, Hidajet Jusufovic and Nizam Cancar.

The bronze medal went to the team of Germany, which defeated Ukraine with 3:2 (13:25, 25:22, 23:25, 11:15).
