Company Menprom from Tuzla should start exporting fresh meat to Turkey in late March, as confirmed by Mensur Alic, director of Menprom.
“This is a big deal for Menprom. It will reduce the costs and help further exports in order to decrease the import-export imbalance in case of B&H,” said Alic, noting that Menprom started with the construction of a new, 6 million BAM worth facility, because of the export of fresh beef to the Republic of Turkey.
Works on the building, which is consisted of plant for cutting and packaging fresh meat, is coming to an end, and the facility will be in the function from February 2016.
The job is secured for 30 workers, they already employed 10 who are doing their training, and the public invitation for hiring additional 20 workers will be signed soon, mainly butchers under 30 years old.
Employment will be realized, explained Alic, thanks to Regulation of the Government of FB&H on the stimulation of employment, which regulates the conditions for use and the procedure for acquiring the right on the subsidize of employers in case of employing unemployed persons without work experience or work experience in the profession for which they were educated, and self-employment of the unemployed persons.
When it comes to the import of fresh meat, Menprom already contracted export of 2,000 tons, and this year they successfully finalized trial contract related to the export of meat products, whose value was estimated to 1.5 million BAM. Besides the fresh meat, director of the company stated that they are planning export of 8 million BAM finished goods.
