Mensa Bosnia and Herzegovina, a member of the largest international organization for highly intelligent individuals, organizes regular intelligence tests. This year, for the first time, the test was held in Zenica. To become a member of Mensa, one needs to achieve a score better than 98% of the population, or to be among the top 2%.
Mensa BiH uses a non-verbal test that measures logical intelligence, eliminating the influence of previous knowledge or formal education. Psychologist Milica Drobac-Pavićević explains: “The test is designed to measure IQ up to a maximum of 156. Membership in Mensa requires a score of 148 or higher.”
The test is confidential, and the results are sent exclusively to candidates via personal codes. The reasons for applying for the test are diverse, from the desire for personal progress in education and career, to the desire to confirm one’s own potential. The President of Mensa BiH, Sunita Selak, points out: “We organized testing in Zenica for the first time. We currently have about 15 registered candidates, and the reasons for applying are different – from academic and professional motives, to personal curiosity.”
In addition to Zenica, testing was also organized this year in Sarajevo and Banja Luka.
Mensa, founded in 1946 in England, brings together individuals from all over the world with the aim of improving humanity, connecting members and participating in various activities. Membership in this prestigious association provides an opportunity for networking and development on a personal and professional level.
