MEPs tell Dodik not to play with Fire: BiH must not be a Russian Playground

A group of socialists and democrats in the European Parliament commented on today’s address by BiH Presidency member Milorad Dodik to the institution.
As they wrote on their official Twitter account, Bosnia and Herzegovina is in its worst crisis since the 1990s war, and its presidency, including what they say is the pro-Kremlin Bosnian Serb leader, is finally appearing before the European Parliament today.

“Our message to Milorad Dodik is clear. Do not allow BiH to become a Russian playground and stop endangering the peaceful future of the country. Your inflammatory rhetoric, your blockade of state institutions and genocide denial bring the country to the brink of collapse,” MEPs said.

We remind you that BiH Presidency member Milorad Dodik addressed the members of the European Parliament’s Foreign Policy Committee today, where he spoke about the situation in BiH and stressed that the country is in a permanent state of crisis.

Dodik reiterated before the EU Parliament that he does not want secession: I, like you, want a sovereign BiH

He called on members of the European Parliament, but also the European Union, to help Bosnia and Herzegovina, stating that “he also wants a sovereign BiH”
