“Merhamet” Project: Renovation of 33 Houses in Nemila Completed

nemilaReconstruction of destroyed houses in the local community of Nemila near Zenica – named project “Support to Flood Affected People in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Zenica, Nemila Village'” – was successfully completed. It is a project that was realized by the Regional Board of ‘’Merhamet” Sarajevo, in cooperation with the International Organization HIA, Hungary.

A total of 33 houses that were destroyed during the floods in May, 2014 – for which construction materials, electrical and plumbing materials, windows, entry and interior doors, flooring and floor isolation materials were provided – have been renovated. In addition, a house belonging to the Osmanović family was built from scratch. This project, which is worth 220.000 BAM, is supported by funding from “Diakonie” – a catastrophe relief agency – in Austria.

This is just one of the many successful projects of “Merhamet” realized in cooperation with the Humanitarian organization, HIA – Hungary. This cooperation partnership will be continued into the future, and will be related to the development of new projects that will provide the necessary support to vulnerable populations in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as announced from ‘’Merhamet’’.
