The Met Gala is definitely the most anticipated fashion event of the year that gathers many world stars on the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Every year, the Met Gala with Anna Wintour as the president of the organization presents an interesting theme that brings a lavish presentation of fashion history.

For 2024, the theme is “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion.” The exhibition will be dedicated to “dormant” pieces, i.e. forgotten creations and fragile garments created over the last 400 years.

The institute announced that the exhibition will include items such as a corset from the 17th century and the English Elizabethan era, a ball gown by Charles Frederick Worth, then famous Christian Dior creations (evening dresses Junon and Venus) and the iconic creation, the “Oyster” dress by Alexander McQueen.

As a reminder, the theme of the Met Gala 2023 was dedicated to the late fashion giant Karl Legerfeld, Klix.ba reports.
