It’s a name that’s slipped underneath the radar for quite some time for Bosnia, this may no longer be the case though.
This weekend, Djuric, who ply’s his trade for Serie A minnows Cesena sent a bellowing message to new manager Mehmed Bazdarevic.
This message came in the form of a Man of The Match performance vs three-time reigning champions and current league leaders Juventus.
Djuric scored Cesena’s first goal, before assisting the second – notching up an impressive 12(!) Ariel Duels won throughout the match – proving his credentials as a target man.
Djuric is no stranger to the Bosnian national team despite never representing his country at a senior level.
Djuric famously scored a hat-trick against Germany in Bosnia u21’s European Qualification campaign, finishing the tournament with six goals in four matches, scoring in each of his every appearance.
A combination of injuries and poor form have plagued Bosnia’s two star strikers Edin Dzeko and Vedad Ibisevic this season.
Is the match vs Andorra the perfect opportunity for Bazdarevic to trial Djuric, as Bosnia’s search for a third striker goes on.
