Milan Radoicic, a controversial businessman who, according to his own claims, is the organizer of the armed conflict in Banjska in Kosovo in which four people died, was arrested yesterday, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Serbia announced.
“On October 3rd, 2023, police officers of the Criminal Police Directorate searched the apartment and other premises of Milan Radoicic, who was ordered to be detained by the police for up to 48 hours. He was brought to the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade with a criminal complaint,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs stated.
It should be recalled that on Friday, through his lawyer Goran Petronijevic, Radoicic took responsibility for the armed conflict in the village of Banjska, and the next day he was questioned by the police as a citizen. After his hearing, it was announced that the case of the conflict in Banjska would be taken over by the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade.
“I, Milan Radoicic, father Rajko, born in the Republic of Serbia, due to the numerous speculations that have appeared, inform the public that together with my compatriots from the north of Kosovo, on September 24th, I came to the north of Kosovo, to the village of Banjska. The reason for our return was to encourage the Serbian people from that area to resist the terror to which they are exposed on a daily basis. I want to inform all the on-duty persecutors of the Serbian people, from Kurti to numerous foreign helpers, that I personally made all logistical preparations for the defense of the people, and this act has nothing to do with my previous political involvement. I didn’t inform anyone about this, not even the authorities of the Republic of Serbia, nor did I get any help from them, because we had different positions on the issue of Kurti’s terror,” wrote Radoicic in a letter read by his lawyer Goran Petronijevic, in which he took responsibility for the events in the village of Banjska, N1 reports.
