Armed Forces of BiH have taken an important step towards Euro-Atlantic integration. NATO Headquarters and EUFOR in Sarajevo are helping us in that at a strategic level, Head of Joint Headquarters of AFBiH General Colonel Miladin Milojcic told FENA.

He emphasized BiH’s accession to NATO is the matter of the country, not Armed Forces of BiH and that key decisions and political consensus is necessary within state of BiH.

”That means we are not behind in the technical department”, confirmed Milojcic.

He stressed that progress needs to be made in training of individuals, units and commands, but Armed Forces of BiH show it best results within peace support actions, such as the current action of members of AFBiH in Afghanistan.

He finds the Peace Support Operations Training Center (PSOTC), which is completely controlled by Armed Forces of BiH and Ministry of Defense of BiH is a valuable resource certified by NATO and UN.

”All countries that send their people to Sarajevo will get trained staff in accordance with NATO standards”, concluded General Colonel Milojcic.
