Minimum Excise on Cigarettes for 2015

cigarettesGoverning Board of the Indirect Taxation Authority (ITA) BiH issued at today’s session in Banja Luka a Decision on determining special and minimum excise on cigarettes for 2015, according to which minimum excise on box of cigarettes will be two BAM as of January 1 next year.

According to this decision, tax payers and other persons involved in cigarette trade, must list cigarette supplies on January 1 2015, marked by excise stamps issued from January 1 2010 until December 31 2014 and deliver the lists to competent regional center of ITA until January 10 2015.

Governing Board of ITA adopted this decision in accordance with the Law on Excise in BiH and European directives which refer to this matter.

They also gave consent for making of a concept design of building the border crossing Bratunac – Ljubovija, based on launching of initiative to sign interstate agreement between BiH and Serbia on opening new border crossing.

Making the concept design will not cause financial costs in budget of BiH institutions because it will be done by institute in Belgrade.
