Minister Kosarac: Without the Consent of Republika Srpska, there is no European Path for BiH

Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Staša Košarac, said that without the consent of Republika Srpska, there is no European path for Bosnia and Herzegovina and that the RS institutions must be visible in the decision-making process at the level of BiH on all issues, including European ones.

“This is our policy and it is more than clear. Whether this does not suit someone in the Federation of BiH is not our problem. The fact is that Sarajevo cannot decide on anything without the consent of Banja Luka,” emphasized Košarac, who is also the Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

When the Government of Republika Srpska gives its consent, then the Council of Ministers can decide on the reform agenda and all other issues, Košarac said.

“To those who come from the EU, like (Enlargement Commissioner) Marta Kos, who tried to minimize the institutions of Republika Srpska, this is a very clear message that without the position of the Government of Republika Srpska, there is no decision-making at the level of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” said Košarac.

Let us remind you that the Council of Ministers of BiH did not adopt the Reform Agenda even at today’s emergency telephone session.

Eight ministers voted in favor, while Srđan Amidžić and Staša Košarac did not vote.

Our country has already lost 108 million out of almost a billion euros earmarked for BiH, and now it could lose even more.
