The Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH, Stasa Kosarac, believes that it is time for a differentiated VAT rate to be introduced in BiH.

“I think that, first of all, appreciating the architectural disturbances in the economic sense due to the increase in gas prices, and in that context we see that we have significant disturbances in the market prices of certain products, to which we must adequately respond in the interest of citizens,” said Kosarac.

According to him, some prices in BiH are enormously high and it is necessary to reduce VAT on basic foodstuffs, but also increase VAT on luxury goods.

Kosarac, who is a member of the Presidency of the SNSD, believes that this party has shown a responsible attitude towards this issue and the people in BiH, because the Club of SNSD MPs in the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH has already sent this initiative to the parliamentary procedure.

When it comes to reducing excise duties on fuel, Kosarac pointed out that this is an issue for the Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH, which is already performing certain analyzes.
