Ministers from RS will not attend Council of Ministers Session

Ministers from Republika Srpska will not attend the session of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina tomorrow, which is their unanimous position.

The absence was confirmed by the Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH, Staša Košarac, and noted that it is February 25, the day before the verdict is pronounced against the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik.

Košarac states that this day will “determine the history of RS, but also of BiH”.

“Our commitment and moral duty is to be in Banja Luka on February 25 and 26 for a large rally of support in front of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska. Together with the citizens of RS, we will send a clear message that we do not accept a possible guilty verdict against the President of RS, Milorad Dodik,” said Košarac, among other things.

He also announced, among other messages, that this verdict will determine the future.

“If it is a conviction, I really don’t see the need for us to participate in the work of state institutions. A possible conviction would mean the end of the Constitution of BiH, and therefore the downfall of BiH,” said Košarac.

Dodik was tried for disrespecting the decisions of the High Representative of the International Community in BiH, Christian Schmidt, and he announced that he would not attend the pronouncement of the verdict.

When it comes to the session of the Council of Ministers of BiH, they were supposed to consider the new text of the Draft Law on the Court of BiH at the proposal of the Ministry of Justice.
