The handover of duties between the previous and new convocations of the Government of Republika Srpska took place today at a constituent session in Banja Luka.
Prime Minister of Republika Srpska Savo Minić stated that a regular session of the new Government of Republika Srpska will be held on Thursday, September 11.
“All materials will be published in a timely manner, the media will have a draft agenda for the pre-convocation session tomorrow,” Minić said at a press conference after the constituent session of the new Government of Republika Srpska.
He said that a joint session of the governments of Republika Srpska and Serbia will be held next week.
“After that, we will have a session of the Government of Republika Srpska in Trebinje, because we want to be on the ground,” Minić emphasized.
Minić stated that “everything regarding the appointment of the new Government of Republika Srpska is legal” and that the appeal that the delegates in the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH sent to the Constitutional Court of BiH against the decision on its appointment “will proceed as it should.”
“They do their job, and we will do ours. I don’t want to deal with that. They and some of the opposition media tell their story, we tell ours. Let’s get to work,” said Minic at a press conference in Banja Luka.
Delegates in the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH Džemal Smajić, Dženan Đonlagić, Šefik DŽaferović and Safet Softić filed an appeal with the Constitutional Court of BiH regarding the appointment of the new Government of RS. Today, the Troika Representatives in the PD PSBiH (SDP BiH MP Club, People and Justice MP Club, Our Party MP Club – BHI KF) also submitted the request.
On September 2, the National Assembly of Republika Srpska appointed a new Government, which will be led by Savo Minic.
The new Government includes four new ministers – Zoran Stevanović for Transport and Communications, Borivoje Golubović for Education and Culture, Anđelka Kuzmić for Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management and Goran Selak for Justice.
The new Minister of Interior is Željko Budimir, and the Minister of Scientific and Technological Development and Higher Education Siniša Karan, who have swapped portfolios in the new convocation.
The Minister of Finance is Zora Vidović, the Minister of Energy and Minister of Mining Petar Đokić, Minister of Health and Social Welfare Alen Šeranić, Minister of Family, Youth and Sports Selma Čabrić, Minister of Trade and Tourism Denis Šulić, and Minister of Labor and Veterans’ and Disability Protection Danijel Egić.
The Minister of Spatial Planning, Construction and Ecology is Bojan Vipotnik, Minister of Administration and Local Self-Government Senka Jujić, Minister of Economy and Entrepreneurship Vojin Mitrović, and Minister of European Integration and International Cooperation Zlatan Klokić.
Let us recall that Minić was proposed as Prime Minister of Republika Srpska by Milorad Dodik, who was stripped of his mandate as President of Republika Srpska by the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina following a final verdict by the Court of BiH. According to the Constitution of Republika Srpska, a candidate for the office of entity Prime Minister is proposed by the President of Republika Srpska, and the person-in-charge of the new Government of Republika Srpska was elected on the proposal of Milorad Dodik, who, according to the decision of the CEC, is no longer the President of Republika Srpska.
