Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Minister of Civil Affairs Dubravka Bošnjak spoke in Sarajevo with EUFOR Commander Major General Helmut Habermayer about cooperation between the Ministry and EUFOR, and demining was highlighted as an area of mutual interest.

Habermayer reiterated EUFOR’s commitment to work in close cooperation with partners and continue to provide support in preserving a safe and stable environment for all residents of BiH, and he included humanitarian demining among the priorities of action.

Bošnjak and Habermayer agreed that thanks to good cooperation, a number of projects have been realized, and that it is necessary to continue with good practices in order to clear Bosnia and Herzegovina of mines.

In this sense, they particularly emphasized the importance of the Mine Action Center (BH MAC), as well as the great role of international partners in the area of demining in BiH.

This was the first meeting of Minister Bošnjak with the EUFOR Commander in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where the mutual desire was expressed to continue the successful cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and EUFOR in the future.
