Mirko Sarovic is the new president of the Serb Democratic Party (SDS), and has been elected at the Party Assembly which was held on Sunday in Banja Luka. Sarovic received 204 votes of 400 present deputies.
Mirko Šarović is the 7th president of SDS.
Members of the Main Committee were also elected at the Assembly and the Statute was amended.
He announced that the SDS is under months of consolidation to prepare for local elections next year.
“I believe in the SDS that can win and which can be a key political option in Republika Srpska and bring victory. We need to build our policy, to be recognizable and different from our competition,” said Sarovic.
“There is a need for an interiorization because there are structures that are not filled,” he added.
Also, Sarovic said that he wanted the SDS which could be the key political option in the RS.
He has confirmed that SDS has seats for former President Vukota Govedarica as well.
