Month of Museum: 100,000 Photos in the Depot of the Historical Museum of BiH

photo-depotLast Activity of the “Month of Museum”, the program that marks 50 years since the launch of the permanent exhibition of the Museum of the Revolution of BiH is the opening of the “Photo-depot” of the Historical Museum of BiH, which was scheduled for the 30th of November.

A collection of photos of the Historical Museum of BiH is in the process of reorganization of the museum material and physical renovations. This is the third collection of the Historical Museum of BiH that went through the technical reconstruction of the premises and the reorganization of the structure in the last three years.

The collection contains 100,000 photographs divided into thematic and chronological units. The first results of the work were presented on the exhibition “Photo-depot” on the 30th of November from 12 pm to 6 pm.

Visitors had the opportunity to see the “Photo-depot” of the Historical Museum of BiH and the development of photography as a historical and museum document, development of the Photo Collection of the Historical Museum of BiH and the work of photo lab. Authors of the exhibition are Esad Hadzihasanovic and Tijana Krizanovic. The project is financially supported by the Ministry of Civil Affairs of BiH.
