Moon: Peaceful Demonstrations of Citizens Are A Part of a Healthy Democracy

patrick_moon_400x500Political leaders in BIH have to understand the situation of the country today, said the Ambassador of the US to BIH Patrick Moon to journalists today.

Peace demonstrations of citizens, he added, are a part of a healthy democracy.

“Political leaders owe their jobs and status to citizens. Governments have to function, foreign leaders and politicians have to understand that there are issues that citizens wish to be resolved. They have to sit and begin to solve them’’, said Moon.

Rather than to refuse to work, they have to listen to what the citizens are saying and to find answers to their questions, he concluded.

“For this, there are no significant barriers’’, said Moon.
