More Recovered than Infected Persons in Canton Sarajevo

More recovered persons from Covid-19 infection than newly infected with coronavirus have been registered in Sarajevo Canton today as well.

384 new cases of coronavirus infection were registered, after laboratory analysis of 1,149 samples, while at the same time 439 persons recovered from this infectious infection.

These are samples collected in the period from November 16 to 20 this year, and the results of their analysis were submitted to the Public Health Institute of CS in the past 24 hours, the Protocol and Press Service of CS said.

254 newly infected persons, or 66.14 percent, belong to the family clusters or contacts of patients from before, and they are in self-isolation from before.

Currently, another 4,937 cases of coronavirus infection are active in the Sarajevo Canton. There are 169 patients in hospital, of whom 69 were hospitalized in the Podhrastovi Isolation Ward of the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo, and 100 in the General Hospital.

Four patients use mechanical respirator support when breathing. In the past 24 hours, 17 people were discharged from this hospital treatment. Unfortunately, six patients passed away yesterday, so that the total number of deaths increased to 211 people.
