Health System bizlife.rsGovernment of the FB&H recently adopted the quarterly report on progress of the project “Health Sector Strengthening-Additional Financing” (HSEP AF) for the period from June 1 to August 30, 2015.

Namely, the health sector strengthening project-additional financing completed its implementation from the financial means by the World Bank in accordance with the signed agreement on financing-the loan between B&H and the International Development Agency (IDA), concluded on July 5, 2011, and the second agreement concluded on September 30, 2011.

According to the quarterly report on progress of the mentioned project, means amounting to 10,208,533 EUR were planned in total for the period from June 1 to August 30, 2015. Of that amount, 9,976,458 EUR were realized, i.e. 98 percent of intended means. Sources of financing are IDA loan in total amount of 4,260.662 EUR, the CEB loan of 5,500.000 EUR, while the Government of FB&H allocated 447,870 EUR. Implementation of the project was completed within the first and the second component, and activities related to the first component of the project which refer to computerization of primary health protection and introduction of safety standards in the family medicine teams are currently being implemented. The project component 1 was aimed at restructuring the primary health protection.

All above mentioned activities were successfully implemented within the intended deadline. Future activities include certification of family medicine teams in accordance with defined dynamics and project concept, primarily, the development of information system for primary health protection in the FB&H, such as the procurement of IT equipment for health centers, development of software for information system, and professional support to the development of information system. Given that the VAT was returned according to IDA agreement and based on the decision of the FB&H Government and the fact that means are secured on the project account, conditions were created for the finalization of procurement of software application and missing IT equipment for remaining cantons which formally expressed needs for the procurement of those.
