More than 100 Kilograms of Drugs were seized in Sarajevo

Members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Canton of Sarajevo (MUP KS) seized more than one hundred kilograms of narcotics in an operation codenamed “Taxi” and arrested one person.

H.M. (1978) from Sarajevo was deprived of his liberty due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that he committed the criminal offenses of unauthorized production and distribution of narcotics, and unauthorized possession of weapons or explosives, the MUP KS announced.

In the searches carried out in the area of ​​Stari Grad, in addition to drugs, a significant amount of weapons and ammunition was found.

More than two kilograms of the narcotic drug cocaine, more than four kilograms of the narcotic drug speed, more than 80 kilograms of the narcotic drug marijuana, more than 26,000 pieces of the narcotic drug ecstasy (approx. 13.5 kg), more than 30 liters of amphetamine oil, two rifles, five pistols, two pistol silencers, more than 400 pieces of bullets of different calibers, as well as other items of interest to the investigation were found and confiscated.

The estimated market value of the confiscated narcotics is higher than one million convertible marks.

After the criminal investigation, the 47-year-old suspect will be handed over to the further jurisdiction of the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of Sarajevo Canton.

Police officers of the Police Department of the MUP of Sarajevo Canton continue their intensive work in this case.
