The Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina approved today at its session the proposal for a grant agreement (Corridor Vc project Mostar north – Mostar south) between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) which refers to an investment grant from the European Common Fund for the Western Balkans program.

An investment grant in the amount of EUR 140,372,000 for the financing of the Mostar North – Mostar South project on Corridor Vc was approved by the European Commission (EC) through the European Common Fund for the Western Balkans, and the grant will be managed by the EBRD.

The purpose of the project is to help Bosnia and Herzegovina in the construction of an approximately 15 km long section of the highway on Corridor Vc with two dual lanes. The section starts with the Mostar north loop and ends with the Mostar south loop. The section is expected to have five tunnels and 10 viaducts on each of the two carriageways.

The grant co-finances the Corridor Vc – Mostar North – Mostar South project together with the previously concluded Loan Agreement between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the EBRD, worth 220 million euros.

The proposal of the contract with the basis for its conclusion will be submitted to the BiH Presidency for further decision-making procedures, and the Minister of Finance and Treasury has been proposed as the BiH signatory – the Council of Ministers of BiH announced.
