More than 250 Students from BiH and the Region to participate on Balkanijada

12442949_1750957728474237_1084257548_nStudents from all faculties of the University of Sarajevo who are staying in the dormitory Bjelave during their studies, yesterday traveled to Tuzla to participate on the sporting event “Balkanijada Tuzla 2016”.

This year’s sports event includes competitions in following sports: mini football (team 4 + 1) in men’s competition; basketball in men’s competition; volleyball in women’s competition; table tennis in singles, men’s and women’s competition.

A total of 250 students from Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia and BiH will participate on the manifestation that will last until the 3rd of April.

Organizer of the manifestation is the Student Union of the University of Tuzla, which took care for entertainment as well.

Prime Minister of Tuzla Canton Bego Gutic opened the sporting manifestation at 7:30 pm in the University Hall, and a friendly match between the employees of the University and the executive and legislative authorities of TC was played after the rich cultural and entertainment program.

“This is a unique opportunity for universities all across the region and BiH to contribute to the revival of sports activities among the students, the development and enhancement of recreation and amateur sport, as well as networking and cooperation of the universities in the region. Our desire is to emphasize values that encourage sport, such as team spirit, solidarity, tolerance, etc.” as announced from the University of Tuzla Canton.
