The tourist season on the Pannonian Lakes in Tuzla is officially over, and more than 360.000 guests visited this complex in the summer days. Some bathers still use the rather warm September days to enjoy the salt water or walk around the complex.

The Pannonian Lakes in Tuzla leave behind a fairly successful summer season, with more than 360.000 guests, which achieved 94 percent of the planned annual plan.

“We can say that this season was successful, after 107 days of continuous work, the realization of the plan is satisfactory if we take into account that we had a rather extreme summer. Primarily, there was severe rain in June, and then July brought extremely high air temperatures, while they were lower at the beginning of August. Also, the days of September were marked by fairly high air temperatures, which contributed to the number of guests,” says the director of the Public Enterprise Pannonica Maid Porobic.

The summer season on the Pannonian lakes in Tuzla officially ended two days ago, there is no entrance fee, and everyone interested has the opportunity to visit the complex.

“The complex is open for walking and sightseeing, and we have now become part of the main pedestrian zone that stretches from Skver to Slana Banja. The catering facilities in the complex are open, as well as the fitness center and the children’s amusement park. It is also possible to visit the Neolithic Sojenica settlement and see the geological setting, but with prior notice,” Porobic added.

The lakes are still filled with salt water, and citizens who want to swim do so at their own risk.

“With the end of the summer season, the maintenance capacities of the complex were also reduced, especially from the aspect of supervision and bather safety. The lifeguard service no longer functions, swimming in the lakes is officially prohibited, but those who might want to bathe can do so solely at their own risk,” Porobic explains.

This year marks two decades since the opening of the first salt lake, and the jubilee period was accompanied by rich content. After the end of the season, the preparations of Pannonica for the autumn and winter period began, Klix.ba reports.
