Mostar in Competition for the Best Small Destination in Europe in 2014

MostarGlobalgrasshopper,one of the most important travel portals, launched a competition of the best small touristic destination of small cities in Europe, and one of the cities in competition is the B&H pearl on the Neretva, Mostar.

Globalgrasshopper, in cooperation with the site Hotel.info chose 52 picturesque small towns in Europe and the winner will be chosen by visitors of these two websites.

You can vote for 26 cities, among which is Mostar on the website of Globalgrasshopper and for the rest of the cities votes can be cast on the website of Hotel.info. A direct competitor of Mostar in the first round of voting is the Spanish city Sitges.

“Although the war history of Mostar is still obvious, the city flourished in the beginning of the ’90s. Now it is a lively place with shops and cafes. Mostar is a cosmopolitan city with an incredible architecture and the renovated old bridge is a popular meeting place”, said in a description of the city on Neretva.

In the competition of touristic destinations from surrounding countries are the Croatian island of Hvar, which is the direct competitor of Bled in Slovenia, then Dubrovnik and Piran.

Voting will last until 14 February, and can be done on : http://www.globalgrasshopper.com/travel/europe2014/
