The international economic fair “Mostar-2013” will be held from 9-13 April in the area of free zones Herzegovina, and the partner for this year’s fair is the European Union.
It is expected that there will be around 750-800 exhibitors from more than 30 countries participating. In addition to the 27 countries, members of the EU, there will also be representatives of countries in the region, Turkey and countries such as Taiwan and China, confirmed the Information Office of the Mostar fair for Fena.
At the official opening ceremony of the 16th Mostar fair, the arrival of a high EU delegation headed by Peter Sorensen is expected, who will have the honor of opening the fair.
It is expected that there will be four prime ministers from the region and a number of guests from all areas of public life. On the third day of the fair, on 11 April, the EU Commissioner for Enlargement Stefan Fule will attend and accompanied by BiH political leaders.
The Director of the Mostar fair Dalfina Bošnjak expressed satisfaction with the partnership of the European Union, and said that their participation would be of much use, especially to local business people and all public institutions to familiarize themselves with how best to use the IPA pre-accession funds.
In addition to the fair where all industries will be represented, the conference and educational part of the fair will occur under the sign “European” issue. Two large conferences on the topics of the use of IPA funds and cross-border cooperation is planned, while the second would be related to the adjustment of markets and goods from Croatia and BiH after Croatia enters the EU on 1 July 2013.
The question of the continuation of a successful economic cooperation between Croatia and BiH is of great importance for both countries. The way in which negative consequences of Croatian accession on the economy of both countries could be prevented will be discussed at the Mostar fair.
