The documentary film “The Mostar Swallow” (Mostarska lasta), authored by Muhamed Bikić and produced by Federal Television, will be screened at the 44th International Sports Film Festival in Milan, taking place from October 30 to November 2 of this year.
This iconic Italian festival holds a special significance for Federal Television and the author; two years ago, their film “The Sarajevo Olympics” won a prestigious award for the Olympic spirit there.
“Returning to Milan with a new documentary is a significant achievement and a testament to our long-standing, consistent work in creating sports documentaries—this is the eleventh such film produced by Federal Television over the past eight years. In any case, being selected as a finalist for this prestigious festival—which is essentially the ‘World Cup’ of sports films—is a success in itself,” says the author, Muhamed Bikić.
The documentary “The Mostar Swallow” tells the story of legendary Mostar divers Lorens Listo and Emir Balić. Balić, who recently passed away, is the subject of a special dedication in the film—a fitting tribute following the documentary’s recent win for “Best Film on High Moral Values in Sport” at a festival on Zlatibor.
