How much Money will the FBiH borrow in 2017?

government of FBiHThe Government of FBiH adopted the Strategy of Debt Management for the FBiH from 2017 to 2019, which is aimed to provide funds for financing needs of the government.

They also accepted the Plan for indebtedness of FBiH for 2017, prepared in accordance with the guidelines and objectives defined by the Strategy for Debt Management for the period 2017- 2019.

Based on the needs that were identified through the Calculation Report of FBiH for 2017 and the Public Investment Program of FBiH 2017-2019, funds that should be engaged on the external market in 2017 amounted to 1,105,9 billion BAM.

The intention is to ensure funds for the budget of the FBiH in the amount of 282.6 million BAM (25.5 % of the estimated external financing) from the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank, and when it comes to the realization of capital projects (823.3 million BAM or 74.5 % of estimated external financing), funds will be provided from several known international financial institutions.

When it comes to domestic borrowing of the FBiH, they planned the amount of 360 million BAM and it will be realized through emissions of treasury bills with original maturities of 3, 6, 9 and 12 months. The planned debt repayment in 2017 amounted to 380.8 million BAM so that the net domestic borrowing that is planned for 2017 amounts to 20.8 million BAM.
