The demolished bridge on the Neretva River in Jablanica, also known as the “Battle for the Wounded” Bridge, has begun to be renewed as a strategic tourist destination in this small town in Herzegovina, Klix.ba news portal reports.
The Municipality of Jablanica states that all the necessary documentation was obtained before the preparatory works for the reconstruction of the bridge in the Neretva Canyon, which is located on the site of the Battle Museum.
”The contractor, HP Investing Company from Mostar, started to carry out preparatory work in the first week of March 2020, ” said the Municipality of Jablanica.
Public Enterprise Elekroprivreda BiH dd Sarajevo and the company IGH dd – Banja Luka are involved in the implementation of the project in addition to the contractor and the investor municipality as the contracting authority.
”The contracted value of the works is 1,074,314.18 BAM, and the deadline for completion is eight months from the date of its introduction into the business, ” the investor points out.
