American billionaire Elon Musk donated nearly $75 million to the political action committee he founded to support the pre-election campaign of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, the US Federal Election Commission announced.
The document states that Musk donated $74.9 million to the board from July to September.
Musk, the world’s richest man, maintained political neutrality for years before he began supporting Trump after the assassination of the former US president during a rally in Pennsylvania in July.
After Trump survived an assassination attempt in July, Musk began to increasingly support the Republican candidate on his social network “X.
Trump’s opponent in the elections on November 5 will be the current vice president of the USA, Kamala Harris.
