A strong earthquake, according to the first information with a magnitude of 6.0 on the Richter scale, struck eastern Turkey, not far from the town of Baskil, just before 10:00 this morning.
The earthquake occurred at a depth of 9 kilometers, and the extent of this tremor is not yet known. Citizens report through EMSC that it was very felt.
A strong earthquake was felt in eastern Anatolia, southeastern Anatolia and central Anatolia. The earthquake was felt in Diyarbakır and Elazıg.
Several users contacted from Syria, stating that they too, 300 kilometers away, felt the earthquake.
It is not yet known if there are any injuries.
