Musk Hits Back at Trump: “He’s So Ungrateful — Without Me, He Wouldn’t Have Won the Election”

The rift between Donald Trump and Elon Musk has now become official. After Trump criticized Musk during a meeting with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, the world’s richest man hit back with a series of posts on X.

“Without me, Trump would not have won the election. Democrats would have controlled the House of Representatives, and Republicans would have had a 51-49 lead in the Senate. What ingratitude,” Musk wrote.

In other posts, Musk corrected Trump and said that his claim that Musk was involved in preparing the United States budget was not true.

“Incorrect, this law was never shown to me, and it was passed in the middle of the night so quickly that almost no one in Congress could even read it!,” Musk wrote.

In another post, Musk wrote: “Whatever. Leave the EV and solar incentive cuts in the bill, even though oil and gas subsidies are untouched (very unfair!!), but remove a bunch of disgusting nonsense from the bill. In the entire history of civilization there has never been a law that is both big and beautiful. Everyone knows that! Either you get a big and ugly law or a thin and beautiful law. Slim and beautiful is the way to go.”

Trump has repeatedly criticized Musk, stating that the reason for his dissatisfaction is that there are no incentives for electric vehicles in the budget, as well as the fact that a person close to him has not been appointed to head NASA.
