mosqueMuslims in BiH will mark the most special Night of the Year – Laylat al-Qadr.

According to Taqvim of the Islamic Community in BiH, tomorrow, on  June 21st falls the 27th night of the month of Ramadan, which is marked as the most special night of the year, the night of Laylat al-Qadr, according to the Muslim calendar.

Laylat al-Qadr is the night of the beginning of the publication of the holy Qur’an, the last revelation that God sent to the people. This is a night to which is dedicated an entire chapter (surah) of the Quran. This is the “night better than a thousand months”, in which “descend angels and the Jibril (Gabriel) because of every decision”.

On the night of Qadr, Muslims pray for forgiveness of sins and the grace of God on both worlds. The greatness of this night is contained in the publication of the Qur’an, the greatest mercy ever given to humanity.

Central marking celebration on the area of the Islamic Community in BiH on the occasion of this blessed night will take place in Bey’s Mosque. Reis-ul-ulema Husein ef. Kavazovic will address the attendees with appropriate lecture. Program in Bey’s Mosque will begin tomorrow at 10:00 pm (before Tarawih prayer).
