natoB&H Minister of defense Zekerijah Osmić and the new chosen General Christopher J. Petty, discussed today the future of the collaboration between the NATO Headquarters in Sarajevo and Ministry of Defense of B&H, right after general Petty assumed his duties in the NATO HQ Sarajevo.

Minister Osmić congratulated General Petty on his new position and expressed his hope for the NATO HQ in Sarajevo to continue with the activities that will bring B&H even more closer to joining NATO.

He also pointed out that the B&H Ministry of Defense as well as the Armed forces of B&H are determined to achieve NATO standards and be more efficient in completing their mission.

Minister Osmić expressed his expectations on B&H to start using the Membership Action Plan (MAP) soon, right after the summit to be held in Wales this September.

“The meeting included the elaboration of all actual questions in the Ministry of Defense and in the Armed forces B&H and General Petty pointed out that NATO surely continues to help B&H pursue its membership in the European Integrations.” – was announced from the Public relations office at the Ministry of Defense B&H.
