Tasteful food, natural beauties, national parks, monasteries and numerous other cultural and historical sights attracted numerous tourists visiting Republika Srpska in March, where, according to the Republika Srpska Statistical Institute data, there were 30,006 arrivals and 79,831 overnight stays, 16 percent more than in February.

According to the data of the Institute, tourists from the United States, Estonia, Finland, the United Kingdom, Brazil, India, Japan, China, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, New Zealand, Australia, and Kuwait, visited the Republika Srpska since the beginning of the year.

Nada Jovanovic, director of the RS Tourist Organization, says that it is expected for a number of tourists to increase because last year they had a record number and expect the number to continue to increase.

Jovanovic added that tourists originate from far distant countries and that tourists coming to RS are interested in what they have to offer.

She adds that Trebinje is a very interesting destination for these tourists, and since we have established airline line that makes easier for tourists to come to Banja Luka, which has become a recognizable destination with numerous cultural and historical heritage.

“Foreign tourists from distant countries are most attracted to water and vegetation. Japanese, Taiwanese, Chinese, and United Arab Emirates tourists mostly visit national parks, mostly Foca, “says Jovanovic.
