Near the Ferhadija Mosque, Cats now have Water and Food

Sarajevo Imam Muhamed ef. Velic shared a photo on his Facebook profile from the courtyard of the Ferhadija mosque in Sarajevo.

Namely, the photo shows two elongated bowls, one intended for water and the other for cat food.

“Thank Allah, we have solved the problem of feeding cats in our courtyard and around the courtyard of the Ferhadija mosque. May Allah reward the group of enthusiasts who organized this. Amen,” said Imam Velic.

He asked visitors not to empty cat food on the sidewalk in front of the entrance, on the mosque fence, in the cemetery, or on graves.

“The right bowl is for food, and the left one is for water. Now leave food there, lift the lid of the bowl, and put cat food in. May Allah reward you for that. Amen,” said the imam.

He noted that this could serve as a model for other places in the city on how to solve the problem of feeding cats.
