Nebojsa Vukanovic: Bosniaks sacrificed poor People in Srebrenica in 1995

Political tensions are once again prevailing in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH). Crises are overlapping, with the issue of the Election Law almost forgotten and overshadowed by various reactions due to the announced resolution on Srebrenica before the United Nations (UN). Will the National Assembly of Republika Srpska (NARS) support the adoption of the International Commission’s Report on Srebrenica, and will there be attendance at the “Srpska te zove” (eng. Srpska is calling you) rally announced by Milorad Dodik for Thursday, are some of the questions for the leader of the For Justice and Order organization, Nebojsa Vukanovic.

On Thursday, the NARS will discuss the International Commission’s Report on Srebrenica, followed by the “Srpska te zove” rally. Vukanovic said he would not attend that rally.

“Of course, we will not attend the rally organized by Milorad Dodik in his honor. Unfortunately, we see that the mayor of Banja Luka, Dodik’s favorite, is attending the rally, and I am particularly interested in Borenovic’s reaction after Stanivukovic attends the rally, whether they will go together and whether Stanivukovic will be the speaker,” he said.

Regarding the events in Srebrenica in the summer of 1995, for which international judgments have determined that it was genocide against Bosniaks, Vukanovic presented his view of these events.

“Srebrenica is a place of great suffering in this war, both for Serbs and Bosniaks and what happened in 1995 is the greatest shame in recent Serbian history. Any well-intentioned government in RS should investigate exactly what was done, and we should prosecute even those who have not been held accountable so far if there are any for that terrible thing that happened out of revenge in the summer of 1995. Bosniaks sacrificed those poor people, and the former Srebrenica police chief and others spoke about it at a meeting at the Holiday Inn when Alija Izetbegovic proposed that Clinton would bomb the Serbs if they let the Serbs enter Srebrenica and carry out the massacre,” he said, N1 writes.
