Negative Comments after Serbian President shared Sweets to Children behind the Fence in Banja Luka

The photo of the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, and children, who stood behind a protective fence during his visit to the construction site of the Serbian-Russian temple in Banja Luka, caused a lot of negative comments on social networks.

Many commented on the scene of “untouchable politicians” on the one hand, and the children behind the fence on the other, Klix.ba news portal reports.

Namely, Vucic greeted the children through the protective fence and distributed sweets to them through the same fence.

“Dear children, just to thank you for a wonderful welcome. Take care of your parents and always be so happy. There will be a lot more to build here. Listen to your parents, learn and work hard. Say hello to your parents, cheers. Long live Republika Srpska, long live Serbia,” Vucic said.

He then came behind the fence and talked to the kids about football.

“Who is your favourite football club, Zvezda or Partizan?” He asked, and the children answered him. Also, this photo was posted on his Facebook profile by the Mayor of Banja Luka Igor Radojicic.

However, negative comments and messages such as “remove this image, don’t be ashamed”, “children as if they were in a concentration camp” and the like, soon appeared on this profile.
