The president of the HDZ BiH, Dragan Čović, continues to insist on bringing together partners from the SNSD and the “Trojka” parties, in order to consider whether they can continue to function as a ruling coalition. Negotiations on the re-composition of the government are ongoing at all levels, since the “Troika” announced that it would no longer cooperate with the SNSD.
On the other hand, the chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of BiH, Borjana Krišto, confirmed that a proposal has been received for Goran Selak to replace Nenad Nešić as Minister of Security, as proposed by the SNSD.
The actors are opening more and more cards, but the future concept of government at the level of BiH is still not in sight. Whether the HDZ will turn the tables or not, they want to check with their current partners. Dragan Čović introduced a new moment in relations, claiming that he was forced into a coalition with the “Trojka” under pressure from the American ambassador. But, he also saved the dismissal of Minister Elmedin Konaković.

“We will try to sit bilaterally these days and then have that joint meeting when we are all in BiH and to make that event so that we can say that we have made an analysis of what we are doing and to see if we can continue together”.
Everyone is talking to everyone bilaterally.
The SNSD, apart from proposing a new minister, is in a position to wait for the meeting date.
MILORAD DODIK, president of the SNSD
“Anyone who wants to talk to us on that topic, we will accept to talk”.
The position of the “Trojka” has not changed since the announcement of the split with the SNSD. HDZ has the option to join progressive forces or remain in the crosshairs of Milorad Dodik’s positions, according to NiP MPs.
NIHAD OMEROVIĆ, MP in the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliament (NiP)
“Not at any cost with any party that destabilizes this society, destroys constitutional principles and hinders the European path”.
Opposition parties from Republika Srpska are confident that they will become part of the government. Nebojša Vukanović revealed that candidacies for ministerial and other positions have already been distributed. Will they be realized?
IGOR CRNADAK, MP in the RS National Assembly (PDP RS)
“The process has begun, it will not stop. SNSD will be out of power at the level of BiH institutions in the next few weeks”.
The new trio consisting of SDS, PDP, and the Justice and Order List is also talking to the SDA about forming a coalition. Delegate in the House of Peoples Safet Softić says that he understands the two-track negotiations, but not the optimism of the opposition group from Republika Srpska.
SAFET SOFTIĆ, delegate to the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliament (SDA)
“There are no elementary conditions for the government at the BiH level to change at this moment. Of course, if something happens that we do not know will happen at this moment, but as things stand, it seems to me to be an impossible mission”.
The epilogue of the initiative to remove Nikola Špirić, who will take over the chairmanship of the House of Peoples from Monday, could also indicate the direction of the political soap opera’s outcome, as well as the fate of Goran Selak’s candidacy for the new Minister of Security, BHRT writes.
