Chairman of the Friendship Group of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PABiH) for North and South America, Australia, Oceania and Japan, Zelimir Neskovic, met yesterday with the Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to BiH, based in Budapest, Guillermo Vazquez Moreno.

During the meeting, it was jointly stated that the relations between the two countries are good and friendly, but that there is significant room for improving cooperation in various areas.

Information was exchanged on the cooperation agreements of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, as well as on the trade agreement and the agreement in the field of health, which, as was said, are in the final stages of drafting and conclusion. In this regard, the possibility of establishing contacts and cooperation in the field of higher education was also mentioned, which includes student exchange, and practice in scientific and research activities, primarily in medicine, as well as in some other scientific disciplines.

In particular, they discussed the need to intensify inter-parliamentary cooperation, through the exchange of visits by parliamentary friendship groups, as well as through other forms of joint action. It was assessed that the strengthening of inter-parliamentary cooperation will open the door for the intensification of bilateral relations between the two countries, as well as the improvement of economic and foreign trade exchange between BiH and Cuba, announced the Public Relations Department of the PABiH.
