The newly constructed building of the Customs Office of Mostar Airport was officially opened by the member of the Presidency of BiH Dragan Covic and the director of the Indirect Taxation Authority, Miro Dzakula.
The construction of this new, modern building was completed in around eight months, and the total investment amounted to 1,7 million BAM. The funds for its construction were provided from the budget of ITA.
Minister of Finance and Treasury of BiH, Vjekoslav Bevanda, stated that this object will bring everything that Mostar Airport has to a higher level and that the export of goods of animal origin will be enabled from this airport in the future period.
“This is an investment entirely financed from the state budget. This represents an example of a project that was created and implemented to the very end while all operational competencies were previously known, which is the reason why it took such a short time,” noted Minister Bevanda.
Miro Dzakula, the director of the Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH, said that the same type of object will be built in Tuzla, and the funds for its construction are already provided.
The main business facility of administrative purpose occupies a total of 843 square meters. The additional building occupies 69 square meters. Parking space with a capacity of 84 places is secured for all users. The Customs Service of the Indirect Taxation Authority will be located in the newly constructed building, as well as the members of the Border Police of BiH.
