New Cases of Coronavirus recorded in Canton Sarajevo

According to the Public Health Institute, 15 new cases of coronavirus infection have been confirmed in Sarajevo Canton. Of this number, nine, or 60 percent, belong to family clusters or are contacts of previously ill, and are in self-isolation from before.

From the previous reporting until this morning, the results for 398 tested persons arrived, whose samples were collected in the period from September 13 to 17, 2020, Vijesti.ba news portal reports.

At the same time, 31 people recovered, so the number of active cases of coronavirus infection was reduced to 257.

A total of 29 people were hospitalized in the Isolation of the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo, and all of them are vitally stable.

Fortunately, there were no deaths, so the total number of deaths from coronavirus infection is still 78. To date, 4,396 infected persons have been confirmed in Sarajevo Canton, of which 4,061 have recovered from COVID infection.

In the period from September 4 to 18 this year, the decisions of the inspection ordered was given to 669 persons for self-isolation, after the recommendations of epidemiologists or on the basis of the decision of the Ministry of Health of Canton Sarajevo.
