One of the greatest talents of German football, Dzenan Pejcinovic, continued to excel in the youth teams of Germany, where he scored five goals and delivered three assists in October.
Pejcinovic (18) moved from Augsburg’s youth ranks to Wolfsburg for 1.25 million euros last year, which speaks volumes about his potential. Soon he became the leader of the youth team of Wolfsburg, but also of the youth categories of Germany.
The most interesting are his statistics for the German youth national teams. He played a total of 34 games and scored 35 goals, which seems absolutely incredible.
During October, he played three brilliant matches for the U-19 team of Germany. Against Poland, North Macedonia and Kazakhstan, he scored a total of five goals and delivered three assists, establishing himself as the greatest German talent of his generation.
Pejcinovic was nicknamed “the new Dzeko” in the club. He spoke about this for Kicker and revealed that his role model is Harry Kane, but he is aware that people compare him more to Edin Dzeko.
“I heard that too (laughs). Some teammates gave me the nickname “Dzeko”, because we should be a similar type of player,” explained the young striker, who clearly likes the nickname and the comparison with Diamond (Dijamant).
Namely, in addition to German, Pejcinovic also has Montenegrin citizenship because his parents are from Plav. It is not known whether he would have the right to acquire Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) sports citizenship, but if there was a desire on the part of the football player for such a thing, the Football Association of BiH should do everything in its power, Klix.ba reports.
