New Fall in Prices: Gas becoming Cost Effective Energy Source again

gasThe price of gas in recent years was the main reason why more and more citizens gave up on this energy source and started using another.

“To be precise, if we take into consideration that part of the industrial consumers in the Canton Sarajevo reduced gas consumption and when we consider that Toplane reduced their gas deliveries and realize some savings in consumption, we can say that at least 20,000 households stopped using gas in Canton Sarajevo,” says Almir Becarevic, former director of BH-Gas. He noted that these 20,000 households simply started using cheaper fuels, mostly wood and coal.

Nermin Dzindic, Minister of Energy, Mining and Industry, confirmed that he will insist again that the price of gas gets even cheaper in 2016.

After his request, BH-Gas reduced the price of gas for 10 % yesterday, but Dzindic believes that there are more possibilities for reducing prices.

With the cheapening of about 25 %, gas will definitely become a competitive energy source again and it is expected that number of households start using gas again.
